Friday October 16,2020 - God Shows Us His Way

Make known to me your ways, O Lord. Teach me your paths.Good and upright is the Lord. Therefore, he instructs sinners in the right way. (Psalm 25:4,8)

There is always more that we would love to know from God. We want to know why something happens or what God’s plan is when a disaster hits, or some other tragic event happens. We want to know God’s ways.

David wanted to know God’s ways. He wanted God to teach him about his mercy and forgiveness. How can God forgive a sinner like me, and love me? David answers his own question: All the ways of the Lord are mercy and truth for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies. (Psalm 25:10).

Because God is good and upright, teaches us in his Word about his mercy and truth. He shows us that we are sinners who need to repent of our sins. He calls us to turn back to him so that we may have eternal life. And then he shows us that he sent his Son to pay for our sins. Through Jesus, he remembers our sins no more. We are free to live as he wants us to live.

Therefore, we strive to live according to the way that he has shown us. We repent of our sins and look to his Word for direction in our lives. Amen.
