Tuesday Novemeber 3, 2020 - A Crowd in White Robes
And he said to me: These are the ones who are coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (Revelation 7:14)
Have you ever wondered what heaven is like? If you’ve ever wished that God would just give us a glimpse into heaven, he has. In John’s Revelation, we are told that there is a crowd so large that no one could count it. This crowd was dressed in white robes and waved palm branches.
Here on this earth, we experience trials and troubles. We feel the effects of sin on this creation. We make mistakes and we think of ourselves before we think of others. We strain our relationships with other people. We worry instead of trusting God. We hurt and we mourn when our loved ones die. And we ourselves will one day die.
But for Christians, death is a portal. It is our gateway out of this great tribulation. It is our entrance into the place where we are able to wash our robes white in the blood of the Lamb. Through Jesus’ blood, our robes are made white forever. They will no more endure the stains of sin. And we will celebrate the victory of the Lamb over sin and death. Amen.
Our song for today is “Behold a Host, Arrayed in White” sung by Koine
