Wednesday September 2, 2020 - The Holy Mountain of the Lord

these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” (Isaiah 56:7)

As we have started to gather again for worship in church, I have heard many people say how much they missed being at church. They are delighted to be in God’s house and to worship him with their fellow christians.

As God showed Isaiah a vision of the New Testament Church, Isaiah saw people of all nations gathered together in God’s house with joy. No longer was God’s house restricted to the people of Israel. No longer were only the burnt offerings and sacrifices only offered by the children of Israel.

In the New Testament church, all people are invited to worship God. He invites all people of all nations to pray to him. He gives joy to people of all nations in this New Testament church.

More over, he accepts the sacrifice of all nations because the sacrifice is the same for all people. The sacrifice is the sacrifice of Jesus. He makes us acceptable to God. He brings us joy to be in his house.

This week come to God’s holy mountain. Experience the joy of gathering with brothers and sisters in Christ in his house. Amen.
